There are actually many ways to learn how to play the guitar. This is because different people have their own comfortable ways to learn. Similarly when you are at school studying, some people prefer to study alone and some prefer to study in groups. These are the few common ways to learn how to play the guitar:

Theory Books
There are millions of theory books on the market all across the world. If you can find those books that have informations that you need, then it'll be easier for you to learn. Not just that, a good theory book should provide additional theories to help you understand deeper. For example, understanding some appregios so that you can advanced furthur. People who learn by theory books actually requires a lot of PATIENT but unfortunately, statistic shows that many people just don't get along with theory books.

Video Lessons
Video lessons can be purchased in any music shop either in DVD, CD or so on. My advice to you is to search video lessons on the internet because it is FREE. Especially in You-Tube, you can find hundreds of video lessons to learn how to play the guitar. It also helps you to focus and pay more attention to learning. The disadvantage is that you must always be in front of your computer screen or your TV screen.

Private Lessons
Private lessons is another good way to learn. This is because the teacher can point out whatever mistakes that you've done and being able to correct you fast. Not just that, a good teacher can provide training that suits your level and to boost up your morallity to learn how to play the guitar. The only bad thing is that you need to pay quite a sum of money and a lot of time.

Learning by Ear
This learning process could be fun if you make it fun because many people just give up to find the right notes by hearing. Although this way of learning requires a lot of practice and experiences, its a good way to train your hearing abillity to hit the right notes. You can even use today's technology to slow down the sound so that you can hear accurately. However, using this method are only usefull for experienced guitarist.

The 1st tips on "How To Play The Guitar"

When You Start (before playing)
Make sure your equipment is well organized and your guitar is properly tuned because there is no point playing your guitar right and it still sounds wrong. Besides that, try to find a quiet place that is free from distraction and a spacious place so that u can feel comfortable while you are playing. This helps to learn fast because you can concentrate better and it will make things easier.

Be Familiar With Your Guitar
Try to be familiar with your guitar like learning some parts of your guitar. For example, how many pick-ups does your guitar have or how many frets does your guitar have. This is because different guitars make different types of sounds. You will start to find out as your experience grows and hopefully you will be able to enjoy making sounds from your guitar.

Be Familiar With Your Skill Level
You would not want to learn songs that are too difficult for you to play because you will be having a tough time trying to play and you will not enjoy playing guitar. My advice is to begin with easier songs or songs that fits your standard. Especially for beginners, pick up some old songs that involves easy strumming patterns. REMEMBER an eagle must first learn to walk before it can fly. Similar to learning how to play the guitar, you must first start small and then work your way up until you feel more confident to continue your progress into a more advanced level.

Stick To Your Knowledge
When you have the basics sorted out and are ready to move on into a more advanced level, try to find songs that you know or heard before. Songs that you like or familiar with. After picking a song, try to play exactly what the songs sounds like. Not just that, music sheets or scores of songs are available everywhere and this is one of the most benefit way to learn how to play the guitar.

Increase Experience And Confidence
Whenever you feel that you are ready to progress, try to focus your time on a specific song. When you have mastered that song, call up your friends or family and show of your skills to them. This is a really good training because it boost up your confidence and experience playing infront of people. Besides that, playing guitar is to be enjoyed by everybody, not sitting alone listening to youself play.
